It's just like waiting for a bus….

Another is of the River West Allen, Northumberland in the autumn of 1991 & the lot includes a preparatory pencil sketch & a letter John wrote describing his thoughts on it’s composition. He often said that he’d pretty much know what a finished painting would look like before he’d even made the first brush stroke.
